I grew up in this small town where playing every sport available and spending weekends hunting and fishing were just the way of life. When I hit 14, I started working on a farm – you know, real hard work. But hey, it taught me a thing or two about dedication.
Highschool was composed of lots of sports practices and extra curricular activities where I managed to have a 4.0. Off I went to KU in 2007, juggling college life with an insane work routine. I was putting in 80 hours a week at a car dealership and pulling shifts as a bartender at night. All while trying to be social (probably too social) and attending KU full time, as well. It was a crazy time, but it shaped me by allowing me to see what my body and mind was actually capable of.
Then in 2015, I met this amazing woman who changed everything. We packed up and headed to the Kansas City area, ready for a new adventure together. Fast forward to 2018, and that's when I took the plunge into entrepreneurship, starting Statement Lawn and Landscape.
Now, I'm the proud parent of two onery boys – a 1-year-old and a 4-year-old. Life's a wild ride, juggling business and diaper changes, but I wouldn't have it any other way. It's all about modeling for my boys what chasing dreams and work ethic look like.
